Vialone Nano is a variety of Italian rice grown mainly in Veneto and considered the progenitor of risotto. Vialone Nano belongs to the category of semi-fine rice, characterized by rounded grains of medium length. It ranks among the most prized varieties of rice, as well as being extremely versatile and therefore suitable for use by the most demanding gastronomes.
Its grains have a full and sweetly herbaceous flavor. This rice, being rich in starch, has excellent resistance to cooking and quickly becomes creamy.
