Italian arborio rice
Italian arborio rice takes its name from the municipality of Vercelli where it originated in 1946, deriving from the Vialone variety. It belongs to the category of superfine rice.
Among the Italian rices it is the one with the largest grains. It is characterized by a particularly high concentration of starch that allows it to perfectly absorb the flavors of the condiments and makes it a perfect rice for the preparation of risottos.
