Ingredients
- 400g Sardinian gnocchetti
- 300g cherry tomato sauce
- 200g sausage
- 1/2 onion
- Grated Parmigiano
- Basil leaves
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt
Peel and finely chop the onion. Sauté it gently in a saucepan with a drizzle of oil for a couple of minutes.
Peel the sausage, cut it into pieces, and add it to the onion.
Once the sausage is nicely browned, add the cherry tomato sauce and continue cooking for about ten minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add salt and the washed basil leaves, torn by hand. Stir and cook for another 5-6 minutes on low heat.
Meanwhile, cook the gnocchetti in salted water.
Drain the gnocchetti and add them to the pan with the sauce, adding a bit of the cooking water.
Stir and sprinkle generously with grated Parmigiano Reggiano.
Plate and garnish with a few basil leaves.
